TRAINEESHIP – Cert III Business, Hospitality and/or Retail

Yangan Cash & Carry are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our friendly team full-time whilst completing a Traineeship.

About us

Yangan Cash & Carry (YCC) is a small, family-owned and run convenience store and country café located in Yangan, QLD (just 15 minutes outside of Warwick). For over 17 years of managing YCC, we have been solely dedicated to our local community by employing and supporting local consumers and suppliers.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is confident, a good communicator, and eager to learn.

While gaining on-the-job experience you will also complete a Certificate III in either Business, Hospitality and/or Retail. General day-to-day duties include:

  • Operating a cash register
  • Customer service
  • Taking food orders
  • Cooking and preparing food and beverages
  • Stock management
  • Stock control
  • Accounts management training
  • Shop management training
  • Cleaning and other ad hoc workplace duties, as required

This employment opportunity is a full-time position and would suit an individual who is looking for an opportunity to develop their personal skills and future employment credentials.

*No prior experience is required. All training will be provided on site.

Role requirements

  • Currently enrolled or willing to enrol in a Certificate III in Business, Hospitality and/or Retail
  • A willingness to work flexible shifts and hours, involving weekend shifts
  • Must have a driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle or transport *NB: If you do not have your driver’s license yet, we require that you have reliable transport each day you work.
  • Someone with a friendly and positive outlook who is looking for an opportunity to launch their career with a focused willingness to learn and contribute within a team
